I love watching console wars.

I like the competition it inspires, but the fanbaby stupidity that comes with it is incredibly tiresome. The internets ability to amplify and exacerbate makes merely looking up gaming news a wearying task, as invariably you'll run into console war skirmishes, maybe even wander into a battlefield.

I don't understand why the current war is still going. I thought we'd hit a certain threshold of dominance at which point people would quit trashing each other. Sony fanboys would quit boasting about mid-range PC settings, and Xbots would quit desperately searching for an Achilles Heel or a super weapon. Ah well.

Whenever I need to forget my worries and melt my brain. I go to sites like N4G where the console war is vicious and the stupidity is rampant.

Its safer than taking drugs but just as effective in knocking you out. lol!

No, not at all.
Especially because I own all consoles every gen.
Arguing over consoles is okay, but sometimes it gets really ugly.
People should just play what they like and mind their own business.

Why because its a completely harmless diversion that gives me something to talk about online when I get home from work.

I do think it is stupid when people get emotionally invested in the war, but their stupidity is pure entertainment gold for me.
