It's free ? So I can buy a 5$ booster of the animal crossing cards to play it with my friends ?

Yep, since the amiibo cards seem to work with it, so with 5 dollars alone, you have a new party game on Wii U, possibly has a hold up while the real AC comes out

Hey that's pretty cool. Even if it's limited, it's still a potentially good game to play for 5$.

Though now I'm confused, since the user above said the amiibo cards only open up minigames :/  so that may not be the case, though there seems to be a bundle that includes the  game, 2 amiibo, and 3 amiibo cards.

COMG guide to points: 1 point = Raging. 2 points = Beasting. 3 points = Tearing it up. 4 points = Berzerk. 7 points = Rampage. 12 points = Burst. 15 points = god mode. 20+ points = DIVIDING BY ZERO!!! 40+ points = Youkai (originally Pokemon).

-1 = Negabeasting. -5= NegaRampage. -10 = NegaBurst

A F2P game that requires amiibo.. better news, but still really annoying

See this and the Metroid game really are suffering from bad timing. If they were announced alongside REAL Animal Crossing and Metroid games, people wouldn't be losing their crap.

For real. Poor timing by Nintendo. Should've put this effort into new mainline games first.

That being said, the fact that it's free doesn't make me resent it as much.

I already have Villager Amiibo so I might at well give it a shot when it releases.

It's nice to hear that it's free at least, but it still feels strange that this came before an actual Animal Crossing game.

Good, they atleast realized this game isn't worth a single penny.

I was getting the amiibo anyway ahaha.

It also says that each amiibo card unlocks a new mini game to play so this could be an actual game to use amiibo is quite a good way.

There are minigame? I didn't get that impression during the presentation (maybe I missed it through my tears for not getting an actual AC game), but that's good. I like Mario Party so who knows, maybe I'll enjoy it after all.

While this game doesn't seem very good because of obvious reasons, one does wonder why they didn't mention that the game would be free during the Digital event?
It would sill have gotten some backlash but surely not equally as much
