Called it.

Unfortunate, but expected.

Whats so unfortanete? it was always 30fps on last gen and sub hd

They weren't sub HD.

I meant unfortunate in the sense that obviously 60fps is better than 30fps, everything else being equal.

There was no way PS4 was ever going to churn out graphics that ridiculously pretty at 60fps.

To be frank, I'm not sure why ND ever even floated the idea, or ran the reveal trailer at 60fps.

Well if their reveal trailer was real-time graphics at 30fps it would already be almost impossible... so 60fps was a really wet dream.

no they werent. all 3 were native 720p

any way, on topic.

i always expected uncharted 4 to go the way of last of us remastered (or killzone and infamous) with the campaign giving you the option of locked 30fps, with slightly better graphics, or variable 60fps with slightly diminished graphics, and with multiplayer be locked 60 frames.

and i still expect them to do this.

How is it that a set in stone gameplay experience (single player) can't hit 60 fps, but a dynamic one (multiplayer) can?

This isn't a dealbreaker. I'm just confused.

MP matches are on much smaller scale maps. You won't be playing through an open area such as the one from the conference when playing multiplayer.

The MP maps of Uncharted 3 were still quite big though.

probably to hype fans. And people Love to do moronic comparisons.

Mario Kart 8 will run 1080p60fps but assassins creed in ps4 and X1 will be 720-900 30fps so WiiU is actually stronger than both.

I don't doubt that for gears and halo MP 60fps is more important than 1080p, texture, lightning etc (even though I don't care and just laugh when my game have seldom tears, drops, etc). But SP for most games 30fps is ok and free resources for other things.

I could possibly finish a  lot of mario levels and races at 10fps. It's too much siliness...

And how pleased were you with gears and halo by the way? Looked gorgeous and tight for me.

Gears looked amazing for a game that was bought last year. And Halo 5 SP/Warzone looks and plays great from what I've seen and heard. Those are games I need 60fps from because they need to be tight.

You didn't play the beta for Halo 5?

Yep we haven't seem much of Gears to be sure, but seems like a great game. I really liked the idea of 4 people campaign co-op, so not sure what people didn't like about Halo (it isn't in the same graphical prowess of UC4, but again it's 60fps and a different concept) or why saying it didn't looked pretty.

Recore was a joy and sea of thieves may end up good (even if graphics are really simply, knack was also), like the artistic direction of fable as well (simple graphics but nice aesthetic for me).

Yes, but no where near the scope of that Jeep trek through that city. xD

Halo 5's MP isn't particularly good looking. Graphics look flat... But in single player campaign, it looks really good!

60fps would have been a nice bonus, but the game seemed really fluid already, although there was tons of destrutible stuff in highly detailed and from what I could tell, surprisingly open scenes - that's absolutely ok in my book

Just saw the MP co-op... haven't looked at it yet. Well don't think Halo players will care much so why bash about a thing the person wouldn't care?

30 FPS is awful, but accept it as it is a console that prioritizes graphics.
