I like Mario and Luigi just as much as paper mario.

Alpha Dream isn't big enough to make a Paper Mario home console game. Every Mario & Luigi game has a central gimmick and this time it happens to be paper.

People are exaggerating, this game is not coming at the expense of a Paper Mario for home consoles. This doesn't replace it.

Blame the poor Wii U sales for why we haven't seen an expensive Paper Mario rpg.

I'm excited for this...
My only gripe is that we have to wait so long to play it...
And I can't imagine this would be affecting the development of a Paper Mario game seeing as Alpha Dream doesn't develop Paper Mario games anyway...

This is the only good thing they showed apart from Star Fox, a game that doesn't look nearly as good as I imagined. Honestly, this looks cheaply done and like another poor attempt from Nintendo to shut up fans of a particular franchise about wanting a new game in that franchise *cough* Metroid *cough*, that said, at the very least it looks like a decent game, a new Paper Mario would be far better than this, but this at least shows that the franchise isn't completely dead.

Oh for the love of god. Paper mario this paper mario that... urgh. Look here, Mario and Luigi RPG > Paper mario!
Look, I like paper mario but let's be honest its not anyway near as fun as the M&L series. Yes a paper mario for Wii U would be nice but this game is far better than that IMO.
