Splatoon IS a big game for them.

They market the hell out of it, at least here in Japan. I've seen TV commercials, magazine ads, free booklets and much more.

They wouldn't do that if they didn't have big expectations.

And the next big thing for them is probably Mario Maker.

Super Mario Maker is going to be main sales driver. I think Star Fox + Xenoblade + Mario Tennis and a price cut should be enough to get a good holiday sales period. Obviously, it would have been better if they had a proper animal crossing game.
