It's about the games for me. So I went the 360 route first. Tons of great games and a solid online system.

Had a Wii, played its games, sold it. Once there are enough games to warrant a purchase again, I'll buy another one. Probably this summer.

I still haven't quite figured out why I bought a PS3. Uncharted is the only game that has made any kind of impression on me and I still only rented the game. It sits and collects dust most of the time. Most multi-plats go to the 360 because I prefer the controller.

Just curious, but if that's the case, why'd you sell off your Wii and not your PS3?

I bought the PS3 after I sold the Wii.

ps3 for sure...

i bought my 360 last summer for halo gears mass effect, etc etc, but when i did extensive research on all the ps3 games coming out in 08. i got a ps3 and sold my 360.

seriously if you actually get your head out of your ass (360 fanboys), and take a look at ps3 games OTHER THAN mgs4, you will see that ps3 has a killer lineup this year.

so for me ps3 is the console to get. better lineup this year, blu ray, ff, gt5, god of war coming out next year also. o yea also Home.

if you get a 360 right now i think your makign a big mistake. seriously the only exclusive game youll be playing is halo 3, and ull prolyl be playign that till gears 2. if you want some killer multi platform games, get a 360. if you want some killer multiplatform games AND exclusive games get a ps3. simple as that.

and i will probably buy a 360 in december for gears of war 2, also if the cost of xbl goes down down downnnnnn.

I guess what I'm asking is why'd you feel a lack of games warranted selling your Wii, but not so for your PS3?

From what I gathered in previous threads, you lost money selling off your Wii.  It makes no difference to me how you spend your money, understand, but if I were in your shoes I'd have just put my Wii in storage or something.

The main reason why I bought a PS3 was because of BC. I didn't want a PS3 this early, but you know. I'm satisfied with my purchase and found some games I like on the PS3, but the 360 does have better games IMO. I will buy one soon.

and if you say "buy the ps3 for a bnlu ray player, buy a 360 for games"

maybe u shuld get ur heado utta ur ass, and look at the VARIETY of games the ps3 has, not just fps's. games other than mgs4. as i explaiend in my other post.

killzone 2
resistance 2
gt5p
disegea
white knight
valkriye
mgs4
home
heavy rain
motorstorm 2
god of war 3
ff 13
gt5

yes some games r coming in 2009 but still.

For me 360 because of Tales of Vesperia and Mistwalker, I really like these RPGs they're pumping out on 360.

I am a really big FF / MGS fan, if that is a bad thing this day and age. I'd keep the PS3 if I had to choose between the two. I could give two flips about Gears and Halo and other games on the 360 that involve Bald Space Marines. However, I did buy a 360 because of the jRPGs that are being pumped out on the console. In this day and age, MS's money may be the only thing that can keep the jRPG genre in HD, since the Japanese support is dwindling.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

I only lost $40 or so. Owned it for about 7 months. Not bad.

I didn't sell the PS3 because I would have taken a massive loss in it.

Anyone that is saying the Xbox 360 is a shooter-only console needs to get their eyes and ears checked before perusing a list of Xbox 360 past and future exclusives at any major gaming website.

Granted, the Xbox 360 does have the BEST shooters, but that doesn't mean it is a shooter-ONLY console. In fact, it has easily the biggest variety of high-quality games in it's library and line-up for the immediate future. It outstrips the PS3 in every single significant genre, and will continue to do so for at least 18 months, whilst actually EXTENDING it's lead in some genres.

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

360

It has more & better games. Unless MGS4 gives you an erection, then get a ps3.
