1 slightly bad year at the starting of a gen can totally shift the balance in the other company's direction

Except this is the 3rd year.  2013 + 2014 were the super important ones that made PS4 where it is today.

this is actually the 2nd year going

November 2013 to 2014 was 1 year and November 2014 to 2015 is 2nd year

I understand what you are saying but Sony should have finished off the generation afetr PS4's amazing start. All this year we had heard what Xbox is doing not what Sony's been doing except Bloodborne.Sony except Bloodborne and Battlefront DLC or Calld of Duty DLC has had nothing

PS4 is still in a very good place but they could have finished off the game and the way its going,Microsoft can come back from behind right now.

If Sony was awful, Microsoft was awful too. Halo needs to stop being given more weight than it's due. It's yet another fps... Just like Titanfall.

Halo actually bothers to include a single player and using your logic Uncharted needs to stop being given more weight than it's due, its yet another tps just like The Order.

Oh swell.... so no games so your subjective opinion makes an objective blanket statement that sony has no games next year?

It's their fault for allowing Rocket League to release this year. Of course they will have trouble to top that next year but now they have to deal with it.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Last year and especially this year,Sony has been lagging behind on announcement and exclusives for this generation after a racing start to the generation.Guess, the amazing start made them lazy.

I actually think, they have done so bad that Microsoft still have a chance to come from behind and beat them. After their amazing start,Sony could have totally packed and finished off this generation but their performance in 2014 and 2015 has been awful.

But when i think about it,they just might still be very strong and comeback and finish the game off this generation. When i was predicting E3 announcements this year,i realized they have alot of suprises and content to come out.

I think alot of the following announcements will be made at this year's E3.These are just for this year, they will have alot more in the next couple of years, much more to come. These are not even too far fetched predictions, quite possible and easy for Sony to make.

Gran Turismo 7 2016 release
Uncharted 4 FY 2015-16 aka in or before March 2016
Battlfront Gameplay and Bundle
Call of Duty Gameplay and Bundle
Destiny Expansion
Last Guardian release date announcement
Guerrilla Games 2016 release
God of War 4 announcement
Sucker Punch announcement
Media Molecule announcement
Agent release 2016 release
Final fanatasy 15 release date FY 2015-2016 aka in or before March 2016
Kingdom hearts Gameplay
Metal Gear Solid Phanton Pain bundle
PS4 pricecut
VITA pricecut
Project Morpheus price and release date FY 2016 aka in or before March 2016

So do you think Sony can cover up their dissapointing year?

Bolded: In terms of worldwide sales? Obviously not.

As for announcements and such, I like what I've heard so far. Some of the things you left out: Persona 5, Street Fighter V, Star Ocean 5, Dissidia Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest Heroes & Dragon Quest Heroes 2, Yakuza 0.
But I'm expecting a few interesting things at E3 for all three companies.

worldwide sales gap isn't increasing much, when they started the gap was increasing drastically but it has become stagnant and for a while around holiday and year starting microsoft actually closed the gap a little bit

Persona 5 and star ocean isn't gonna move any consoles and the ohter games you mentioned won't move alot either

I am expecting alot at E3 though but for a while after Uncharted delay,it looked like Microsoft had a much stronger lineup

All I know it that I hope to recover this year after so many games on my backlog that need to be played and the witcher 3 isn't helping.

Big Exclusives so far:

PS: The Order 1886, Bloodborne

X1: Screamride? It definitely wasn't big, but at least it got a disc release.

PS, PS2, Gameboy Advance, PS3, PSP, PS4, Xbox One

Worldwide gap stagnant? No, it's widened since launch.

PS, PS2, Gameboy Advance, PS3, PSP, PS4, Xbox One

Well PS4 sales haven't begun to stall for nothing. Sony needs to get it's act together.

I was unaware that Sony's PS4 was having a bad patch this year. I have plenty of games to play on the PS4 and more are coming later in the year.

I'm curious how you got to that kind of a conclusion regarding the worldwide sales gap. Sony's last update on the PS4's sold-through numbers was announced at the beginning of March. Microsoft hasn't announced sold-through numbers since the beginning of 2014 and on top of that, combines 360 & XBO shipments. And what was even more damning? The PS4 sold through 1.7 million in January & February while the XBO + 360 shipped 1.6 million combined for Q1 CY (Calendar Year) 2015.

Every game can move hardware sales to a degree, some greater than others. Even if one game alone doesn't move a lot of hardware, a team of several games can create a significant cumulative effect. The PS4 has a huge advantage when it comes to JRPGs and Japanese games to the point that Sony doesn't even have to do anything to incentivize Japanese devs to release games only on the PS4 or Playstation systems. Now, it's just a matter of putting together a large enough library to entice fans to purchase a PS4.
