Most of the PS3's good games won't make it out until 2009. The PS3 had two price cuts in it's first year, and will probably have one big one or two little ones this year. Buy a 360 now to play the best next gen games around, and think about a PS3 midway through 2009 when FFXIII, God of War 3 and GT5 hit.

What the hell you on glue. PS3 has a great list of games to be released in 2008. March 27th = GT 5 Prologue, June 12 = Metal Gear Solid 4, September= Little Big Planet,  October = Kill Zone 2 and November = Resistance 2.

Actually looking on Metacrictic 360 has got an amazing selection of games, but not all i like

- Bioshock = Abit weird but i would get this
- Forza = Good but i would miss Gran Turismo
- Halo 3 = Good but over rated, COD 4 is better in my opnion
- Mass Effect = I like this game, but i would miss FF
- Gears of War = Great game lots of violence, Uncharted looks similar though

To me three thing split wether i get a PS3 or 360
1) GTA IV
2) Reliabilty
3) Overall Price

He might be cashed strapped for that very reason, who knows?

Anyway, if he's a huge GTA fan who knows that he wants the additional two episodes, then the 360 is the way to go.

What I find funny is all he asked from everyone is if they're getting GTA IV. Now all the vultures look for his one comment about not having decided which console to get yet, which wasn't a question for anyone to answer, and decide to flame this topic with that 360 vs. PS3 vs. PC pissing contest. A little more off-topic, is I'll put money on I_own_a_PS3 and Rock_On_2008 are either the same person and/or another poster in disguise.

On topic, yeah I'll be getting it, but probably not right away. I'm not too excited about what i've read in previews so far. I hope they can pull it together well.

If that's all it takes for you to buy a PS3, Lord help you. I would advise you to research both systems and based on the fact you are strapped for cash, you should really ask yourself if spending $400 for a PS3 and buying the game $60 is worth it vs. buying a 360 - soon to have a price cut - and the game for under $300 for something that will perform pretty much the same.

I have both systems and it really boils down to libraries. And I would also advise against buying a system unless you like the games you see for it NOW. It's not guarantee that the upcoming games won't just bomb. In that instance, it would be better to wait and see if the games are what you are looking for.
