Forums - General - What's the most important thing that you've learned about life?

My experience:

Never rely on the one you love for happiness. -> You have to relly on your own 1st, and then on the others when needed. You have to always be able to be happy by yourself and for yourself.

Trust your friends, and make so that they can trust you. -> You will always be able to count on them then, and nothing will never ever look insurmountable anymore.

That life's a bitch and then you die, but thats the way the cookie crumbles.

Take life as its handed to you, love one another, be a gracious and grateful person, have a backbone, speak your mind, just don't worry too much, and any shit that happens will be smoothed out eventually. Life's fun its not as hard as people make it out to be it's just whatever you make of it and if you think life and the world sucks you're just bringing yourself down, just learn to see the positives, don't listen to those people throwing the negatives in your face cause they're only giving you part of the story, in every bit of negative there is some where some way a positive that came out of it either by a domino effect or someone involved was actually helped because of it, I mean I had a house fire and lost everything I had, but I gained the knowledge of how much my friends and people around me care and know who's going to have my back and I'll always have theirs, and so I'm simply saying this look for the good and don't worry things get solved with some action it's never the end of the world and usually some good things come out of it in the end.

Call me dumb. But I have only just learned that Japan is a separate country. I always thought Japan was in China.

Good things are forgotten way faster than bad things.
And stupid people are people too.

That my life sucks and there is nothing i can do to change it.

In sharp contrast to this one, the most important thing I've learned about life is that it's up to you to change the direction of your life.  No matter what happens, no matter what your situation and what unfair disadvantages have been thrown your way, you have to deal with it.  You can cry about how much it sucks (and you should, expressing grief helps you accept it and move on), but then you have to do something about it.

The only things worth taking seriously are love and happiness. And sometimes video games.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.
