It's nice to see the press taking a 360 degrees turn with regard to PS3 coverage. This will likely continue and around christmas the bulk of US press will probably be praising the PS3.

Blu-Ray movie support is indeed a killer bonus feature (especially with the high quality the PS3 provides, even at an afforable price and far more multi-functional than rival products), the Blu-Ray movie market is expected to triple this year and the DVD market is expected to shrink a little more than it did in 2007.

Ahem... 180 degree.  360 would put you back in the direction you started.

 lol.

LOL, thanks. Somehow I got 360 stuck in my head.

Naughty Dog: "At Naughty Dog, we're pretty sure we should be able to see leaps between games on the PS3 that are even bigger than they were on the PS2."

PS3 vs 360 sales

Good press for PS3 ...at last!

New York Times also advocated the war in Iraq.

How things have changed in just 1 year. At this time last year everyone on this site was bashing the PS3 (I seem to recall a lot of predictions for failure) and there were very few PS3 owners here. Now if only more mods weren't just Nintendo fanboys =)

I wouldn't read too much into Times. If I remember correctly, they also named 3D0 "Product of the year". Only has it sold 2 million copies before completely dying out.

Honestly, they probably knows less than Craazy here.

Soriku (Feb 10/08): In 5 years the PS3/360 will be dead.

Nice to see some recognition from the mainstream press :)
Now if only Sony can come out with a price cut things will get very interesting.

I blame company "evil" for that one.... oh yeah, I went there.

It seems the mods need help with this forum.  I have zero tolerance for trolling, platform criticism (Rule 4), and poster bad-mouthing (Rule 3.4) and you will be reported.

This is good press for Sony. The kind they were hoping for since they launched. If you are looking to buy a Blu-Ray player, and have any interest in gaming, the PS3 is a great deal . I cannot see how anyone could disagree with that.

man that cnet dude still was able to work in the 360--they must have a part in that company "online gaming, media, and commerce options not nearly as developed as Xbox Live."
