3DS looks to be pretty set for the rest of the year in Japan with Rhythm Heaven Plus & Fire Emblem If in June, Yokai Watch Busters & Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer in July, Dragon Quest VIII in August, Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon in September, Monster Hunter X & Yokai Watch 3 for the holidays.
The west however does not look nearly as stacked, so far we know about Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash, Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer & Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon (2016 in Europe) for the fall. There is also Return to Popolocrois: A Story of Seasons Fairytale getting localized which basically serves as a Fantasy Life replacement so not a huge title but a nice addition nontheless.
I can't see Chibi-Robo being a big seller and I'm actually kinda surprised it's not a $10-15 eShop title, seems like a way to sell Amiibo's to collectors. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon is a relatively big series although the most recent entry sold quite a bit less that previous entries but if this one is received better perhaps it can sell better than Gates to Infinity. Animal Crossing is typically a huge series but this one is more of a spinoff that seems like there is much less to do (that may change as we get more info on the game) but Amiibo cards could perhaps push units as well.
I could see some games already released in Japan getting localized like Style Savvy 3 or Rhythm Heaven Plus from Nintendo & Final Fantasy Explorers from 3rd parties. None of these titles are likely to be huge but a combination of a bunch of small-medium sized games could perhaps do the trick. This is also going to be the New 3DS first holiday so we could see them push it heavily with deals/bundles or perhaps the smaller version coming to the states.
E3 is just about a week away, will Nintendo announce a big title for the fall or will they focus on these small-medium sized games and deals/bundles for the holidays? And what potential big hitters do u see releasing?
When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.
