+ i am a fan of the series. that doesn't mean that i can't be displeased when certain game design elements continue to go unfixed.

one thing I've always hated about Mario Kart DD was the bull shit factor, you all know what I'm refering to, it's the blue frigging shell A.K.A present for the leader as my siblings and I have called it, no matter how much skill you have you'll be hit by it and in worse case cenarios lose because of it.

So I hope that blue shell is either gone, or at the very least if blockable by the red or green shells when held for protection.

I don't see where I have written something "rude" or a "cheap personal attack", but whatever... 

I'm just tired of the "every MK is the same" claims. Controls, track design (I don't find them dull at all, btw), intensity, ... MK evolved in every sense. The replay value of MK:DD is incredible, against a former flatmate I played at least an hour a day, over 2 years or so. We never got tired of it, but by now I can probably play the courses with eyes closed, so I desperately need some new tracks. 

Don't know about the new additions - but we'll see, I'm confident that Nintendo knows what makes the series so great.

- Motorbikes - no problem, we already had baby buggies and steam locomotives.

- Tricks - not sure about that

- Online: yeah! 

One more question: How was dual driver a "gimmick"? Me and my former girlfriend loved playing together; when I told her that there will be no coop in MKWii, she was really disappointed. And for single player it was great, too. It added some tactics to the item thing. Really, I never understood how people could get upset about the fact that there were 2 toons sitting on the kart instead of one. 

i really like mario kart and played it plenty. but i have to say that the game looks kind of meh. They have to bring back moomoo farm and chocolate mountain for me to get super excited.

Not excited? Don't purchase. Oh, and most of your cons are pure opinion, so maybe this just game isn't for you.

I'm a conservative person. I like to buy shoes that are exactly like the last ones I have. I like my trousers to be plain, without anything fancy added on them.

What? You asked for my opinion, didn't you?

If you want your games to have radical changes, you shouldn't have went the Nintendo way. They do small changes, and are secure that most are for the good.

Look at Zelda with Wind Waker, they did a lot of radical changes, yet it is the most hated (maybe the adventure of link takes that) game in the series.

mkdd was tough if u wanted to beat the game...did ur gf unlock the secret tracks?

u have to beat all cups on 150cc then beat them all in mirror mode then u get an endurance cup where u play every track in every cup and have to come in 1st in that

then u get the secret cup with 4 new tracks

MK Wii will be great, and I think think will surpass MK64 in greatness. The online was announced very early and I think it will be well done, not just tacked on as it appears to be an integral part of the game's "value". Also the 12 player thing is HUGE for me, I have been wanting more racers since the SNES version.

I'm way excited for it. The online is the main thing for me. My closest friends don't live very close, and it's awesome when we are able to play games we love together online. And I love Mario Kart, I love seeing more tracks, more characters, updated games. Sometimes you want more of the same. There is always someone to complain "Oh, the game didn't add enough or reinvent the game" and then the other guy "Oh, the game changed too much and lost what was great about the game".

::shrug:: don't be excited. don't get the game. You won't be missed on the track 8)

I'm not really excited for Mario Kart Wii.

I think it'll be good and a lot of fun, but it's not "OMG I CAN'T WAIT!" like Brawl.
