That is not going to happen sadly they were created solely for Halo and i doubt that MS will give them the creative freedom to make a new IP remember that's why Bungie split in the first place, the sad thing is that Platinum Games has the same number of staff as The Coalition and yet they are currently working on 3 AAA games while managing to release 2 small AA digital budget titles.

Yeah, they're a pretty big studio, over 350 people now I believe. I wish that MS would split them into 2 teams, then go on a hiring spree to make both teams bigger, and put the 2nd team to work on a new IP.

Totally agree, they don't even have to ditch Halo. They can one team making mainline games while the other experiments with side games like making a Halo RPG or something. Could be very cool.



After Halo 5 I had a very odd "Square Enix" vibe from 343... I believe an RPG (reviving Fable IV?) would be great for them. They make gorgeous backgrounds we can't admire or gawk at since we risk getting shot...



Maybe it's just me but I might give Gears 4 a try. I never liked the Gears franchise but the new direction has my interest. I'll judge it more once we see more gameplay.

This makes no sense at all. You are comparing Gears to a game that have huge sandbox with everything running at 60 fps. Would Halo 5 have better graphics and splitscreen at 30 fps ? Of course. Many people shits with no reason on 343 Industries and are forgetting that this was the first 60 fps game for this team. A jump from 30 fps to 60 fps is not easy for a dev. Halo 5 has one of the best 60 fps game graphics. It shits on many 30 fps games too.

I honestly thought Halo5 had higher resolution than SW Battlefront.. There's more detail in SW of course but Halo5 looks so lovely soft and crisp. Well, that's one for the resolution wars, no wonder I can't see much difference between 900p and 1080p.

Gears 4 is 60 fps for multiplayer as well, and full 1080p for MP whereas Halo 5 wasn't. As for your 60 fps argument, Halo 5 was behind Black Ops 3 and SW Battlefront in graphics this past year on XB1, both of which were 60 fps and had a higher MP resolution than Halo 5 (900p whereas Halo 5 dynamic resolution had drops close to 720p). Let's face it, after Corrine Yu left 343 for Naughty Dog their engine team just wasn't the same. I don't think they're capable of delivering a great looking game using their proprietary engine anymore, Corrine Yu was the main reason that Halo 4 was the single best looking 7th gen game, without her Halo 5 wasn't even top 15 best looking for 8th gen and we're only 2 years into the generation....

The smartest thing MS can do at this point is move all of their studios behind a single engine like EA and Rockstar have done in the past with Frostbite and RAGE. It's easier and cheaper to maintain and upgrade a single engine instead of multiple engines. I think Unreal 4 should be that single engine for Microsoft Studios, 5 of their games are already using it (Gears 4, Crackdown 3, Scalebound, Sea of Thieves, and Fable Legends pre cancellation). The only studios that shouldn't be unified behind Unreal 4 imo are Turn 10 and Playground, the engine Turn 10 has developed for Forza is pretty good and Unreal isn't as well suited to racing games. 

Both games dont have the sandbox that Halo 5 SP have and that take resources. I disagree that Black Ops 3 looks better than Halo 5 SP. With Halo 5 you also get perfect 60 fps . Call of Duty is 60 fps pr.  And we have seen nothing from Gears 4 MP. All coverage was 30 fps SP.  

And are you serious about Corrine ? Hahahahahahahahahahahaha. One fucking person dont make a whole engine. 343 Industries still have the same developers that have made the Halo 4 engine. The main reason why Halo 4 was single best looking game was 30 fps SP and 6 + years experience with the hardware.

I love halo 5, it's my favorite game, and I don't agree on how bo3 looks better than halo 5 but in realism, bo3 looks better. I just like the way halo 5 looks. and there's a nicer way to disagree with people XD

EDIT: I probaly only like the look of it better cause I'm a bit biased. imo it dosen't matter too much how good a game looks.
