Sounds fake to me would be stupid to risk another digital only backlash after they only just about getting on the right track after the effect of the E3 2013 conference. If they did do something like this they should always support both a disk drive version and a digital only cheaper console for those that want it and also reassure fans that both will be fully supported.

Also why would they do a cheaper console on Halo 5 launch since its going to push hardware anyway.

Why this complete inaccurate thread still exist?

I can't seem to open it. What is it?

It's the thread about MS supposedly being able to disable any pirated games or software on Windows 10. That has already been debunked, the only software that MS can disable if it's pirated is their own software, and only then if they choose to as per the EULA.

hmm, well personally, I would support a feature like that if it happened to exist. I'm against piracy, and even though I've bought pirated games and movies in the past, I think there needs to be a way to stop it and MS has the power to do it.

I doubt its true. We've had similar rumors before. Plus I don't think MS will bring down the X1 price to $250 so quickly. Maybe next year but certainly not this year.

I was playing Battlefield: Hardline for the past week. Reached the final episode but decided to restart some of the previous episodes to get the achievement of catching the criminals without killing them (missed three of them in three different episodes). I did this before playing the final episode because I love getting several achievements at once, especially at the end of the game. For this case, I was supposed to get the final mission, finish game, and the catching criminal achievements. After catching two of the three and going to third one I restarted the whole campaign by mistake and now have to repeat the whole thing!

I was going to say how I think the game is under-rated and it is actually a good game (deserves more than 71). Now I hate the game. I won't replay and spend another ~ 7 hours to get 65 points.

I don't understand why would there be a backlash with this one. It is just another option.

People who wants physical games will still be able to buy the regular console. Microsoft would drop it in no time if it wasn't selling as people claim.

Regular Xbox for $299 and discless Xbox for $199 would change things in US especially with this year line-up.

Me too! It feels even more rewarding.

Sucks about Battlefield. If I were you, I'd spend another 7 hours and get it over with. Its annoying, but at least you'll be done with the game forever after that.

MS has alot of work to do on their digital ecosystem before I'd even consider getting a digital only XB1 personally. I'd need the following to consider switching to a digital only XB1:

-More frequent digital sales with more games in them. XBL sales are currently way behind Steam sales. We often see the same games on sale over and over, while many others never show up on sale at all. I've been waiting for certain games to show up on sale for more than 9 months now.

-More frequent permanent digital price drops. Currently most AAA's still cost $40-60 digital, while new retail copies can often be found for $20-30, even less for used copies.

-Better indie pricing, currently most indies are $10-20 on XBL, while many of those same indies cost $5 less on Steam.

-A digital rental service. Incremental time amounts (1 day, 3 day, 1 week, 2 week), with per game pricing ranging between $2-8 for indies, and $4-16 for AA/AAA games.

Those are really great features! From the list, I think the second point is the most important.

So apparently the resume that suggented ReCore is coming to Windows 10 has been corrected and now simply says "Xbox One exclusive".

Do you think it was a mistake or this is just damage control?

When Sea of Thieves was announced as Xbox One exclusive, they corrected it minutes later saying "PS, it's on Windows 10 too"...they didn't with Recore, when they could have easily done the same.

I could never go digital only, the Aus prices are a complete rip off
