Wow, that sucks about no split screen at all. 343 always messes up something in every game they make

It's STILL day one for me, nothing can change that
Proud to be a Californian.

Halo is about SP and MP. Split screen is an aftertought now thanks to the 1080p 60fps folks.
You are the ones that say X1 isn't powerful enough.343i gotta prove it to ya'll now.

I'd rather have a slight graphics downgrade and split screen co-op.

Last time I used split screen was on Goldeneye N64
I loved having my buddy over and we play Halo online together in splitscreen. We had a lot of fun. Such a shame...

They could have impelmented at least co-op campaign in split-screen with 30fps which would be much better than none at all. There are many many people who play Halo split-screen. Maybe not you but other people. It's like with Fifa or so, one of the games people enjoyed together on a couch and not only over the internet. Halo was also because of this a perfect game for students to play together in a dorm. They should know that and should have considered that while developing the game, now it's not posibble anymore but it would have been possible if they would have thought about it while developing the game.
I mean, they can't tell me that the game would be totally different if they would have developd the game with this in mind. What exactly would that change for the "normal" game like we will get it? It's not as if Halo 5 looks like something never happened before in gaming which needed such a decision.
And exactly in the year CoD does get it and where they lose CoD marketing they kill it? Awesome...
Now people can sit together and watch how one can play and the other not...

You can still play co-op with friends over Xbox Live, or with randoms using matchmaking (a feature returning from Halo Reach that I'm happy about). I honestly don't think that many people use splitscreen nowadays, most people don't invite friends over to their house for splitscreen parties anymore, splitscreen parties were more about necessity than desire I think. Once Online Multiplayer took off it was possible to play with your friends without having to invite people over. Splitscreen really sucks for shooters anyway, I hate playing a tiny section of a screen, even when I used to have a 55" TV it was still pretty miserable. |
How can you be so sure of that? People still play games with friends, family etc. Plus during most Halo games I play online, I always see a couple of people playing from one account. So clearly people still do it.
And MGS for me this round. Not really a fan of RPG's these days since they just require too much time to finish.

Didn't realize MGS was downgraded. Do you have a comparison video?
