Good. I'd rather it be cancelled so that Nintendo continues focusing its efforts towards expanding the Wii U's library with unique titles. Multiplats aren't helping third parties nor the Wii U.

Are these mutually exclusive?

Not necessarily but seeing third parties walking away puts additional pressure on Nintendo to develop software. Consoles are a means to sell software and if no software is being released on their console, Nintendo makes no money thus they develop software or bring in outside studios to make stuff for them, titles exclusive to their platform.

Well, maybe the nintendo game that has recieved a downgrade would be xenobalde, as for the rest i havent noticed, but you must admit that xenoblade downgrade cant compare to the other company games downgrade

How is this relevent to Project Cars and this thread?

I have to agree with Hynad here. There is a convention for how we state these things, for a reason.
30 is 50% of 60, 60 is the comparator i.e. what you are comparing to. When you are are talking about an increase e.g. from 30, 30 is the comparator. So a 50% increase is 45, a 100% increase is 60.
If we consider 30fps as the ultimate goal, then 30 is the comparator and they have achieved 23 of 30 or 77% of their goal. If we are talking about an increase from 23, 23 is the comparitor. They require a 7 frame improvement from the current base (=7/23), they require a 30% increase from 23.
So we could say:
- We need a 30% increase from our current frame rate (23)
- We have achieved 77% of our goal (30)
Any other way is unconventional and bound to cause confusion.

Sorry, didnt get at first what you were trying to say. For project cars for the wii u to reach the 30fps goal, the only way would be to reduce the numebr of draw calls from cpu to gpu and some culling(frustrum, occlussion) so that not only the draw calls would be fewer but also the gpu wont have to draw complex geometry and will save up resources.

That is not what I was referring to. But whatever....
I think this was one of the (very) few games announced for 8th gen platforms (XOne, PS4 and PC) and the WiiU (which a lot of people insist on calling 8th gen) and not being released on the X360 and PS3.
By now, I guess it's more than proved that the WiiU is not from the same generation as the PS4 and XOne.
We have a lot of games just for XOne, PS4 and PC. We have some (specially in 2013/2014) for those and X360, PS3 and WiiU (multi-gen). I don't recall anyone being released only on XOne, PS4, PC and WiiU.

Prediction made in 14/01/2014 for 31/12/2020: PS4: 100M XOne: 70M WiiU: 25M
Prediction made in 01/04/2016 for 31/12/2020: PS4: 100M XOne: 50M WiiU: 18M
Prediction made in 15/04/2017 for 31/12/2020: PS4: 90M XOne: 40M WiiU: 15M Switch: 20M
Prediction made in 24/03/2018 for 31/12/2020: PS4: 110M XOne: 50M WiiU: 14M Switch: 65M
Wii U is 8th gen with (much) less power.
With IBM Power, far less power and so on ports of big AAA games are difficult to impossible. But there would be at least some ports or special versions if Wii U was selling better and the Wii U crowd was buying third party.
Which in the majority they are not.
And that is the basic point Ian Bell made in the WMD forums. They'd have to make some major cutdowns. Wii U version could not be in leaderboards etc. because of those differences. Basically it wouldnt really be the same game.
And he asked the bad economic question. How much will that cost, who is gonna buy it in the end? And is that what anyone wants from Project CARS?
