I say small new IPs since those don't take that long to make or cost very much so its perfect for Nintendo's current sitution

Wow, this garage base thing sounds kinda like Indie defs with the freedom to brainstorm on new ideas and try out new thing, but not with the total freedom. ; )

Technically I think that would be a job they'd give themselves. I think the Mario Kart team said they want to make one, and it's obvious where that went, but if a few of them make some kind of proof-of-concept and show it to Miyamoto it could happen.

Sadly I don't think Shiggy has any interest in the series. We may have to wait until he steps down to see a new entry.

Definitly getting some new ideas and IP out of there. The real question to me is more "when" and "how many" than "if"

I'm thinking along the lines like Captain Yuri..

They'll probably be in charge of budget games or smaller IPs

There might be one or two for retail next year. If any are 2015 titles, I expect they'll be spin-offs or eShop.
