well scince i dont care about the lack of content and no voice chat the game seem to be pretty perfect to me. That both the only real critics.

I wonder why everybody is complaining about 5 maps. I played years counterstrike and just played one single map (dust_2) over and over again because it was just perfect. I better get 5 great maps instead of 30 mediocore. SO i cant say anything about 3 maps yet but the 2 from testfire were very very good.

The only real critics is still no off tv play, no pro controller support, no 2 player local online, no lobbys yet and that you cant skip this 2 sisters conversation everytime u start the game. Considering this, its like a 87 for me.

Some some reviews acknowledge that it's great but give a 7 because not all content is available yet. That's pretty much what we expected right?

81 (currently) is good! Especially considering those scores lowered because of the lack of content at launch.

I didn't factor them in because they weren't in the review build. This is one reason why I like scoreless reviews; readers can factor in any upcoming additions to the game as part of their own judgment.

It just doesn't seem right to imply that $60 for 5 maps, 2 online modes, etc. isn't enough when no one is actually gonna be paying $60 for just that amount.

"The most original and enjoyable online shooter of the generation, but the lack of content at launch means it may be months before it reaches its true potential."

This is the kind of things that the worst scores are telling about the game. Do they realize that the score is gonna be forever bad but the game nop?

Do you expect them to rate the game based on hypothetical content that they don't have? The game is out now, thus naturally will be rated for what it is now. If you don't want to be criticized for a lack of content, you release it with more content (as Nintendo do with the majority of their other games). Reviewers have treated other titles (like Driveclub) in a similar fashion.

It would also probably help to not charge full price in your biggest market, while at the same time acknowledging it's not worth the full price in various other countries.

Can't it jump up 1%? My prediction would be correct then.

I hope it at least gets to 85+. If it ends up at 81 we're talking Captain Toad. Loved the game but I'm hoping for more.

It's what Nintendo gets for releasing the game incomplete, happens to every publisher.

If a game is half finished then I cant blame reviewers. Future updates lies in future. Reviewers always review what they have.

Is anyone else getting the feeling that this is going to be a very long thread?

this would be ridicoulus scince captain toad features alot less content. it have just a 6 hrs campange and thats it. splatoon got it 6 hrs campaign + the online stuff.

Scince the only big complainment about splatoon is missing content it wont make any sense to be honest. I think many review sites really lowerd the score to much because all the discussion about the low content in the past weeks.
