Forums - Microsoft - Xbox One Might Get Improved Graphics Performance Soon, Job Ad Suggests

The team at Microsoft in charge of the Xbox One seems interested in hiring at least one developer in order to contribute to a coming improvement in the graphics department for the home console, which might be deployed before the end of the year.

The official job listing at the company explains that the Advanced Technology Group will try to deliver assistance to developers who are looking to make sure their titles offer a solid experience on the new device.

It adds, "We are seeking a Software Engineer with technical expertise in graphics performance optimization, GPU architectures, and HLSL shaders.   Game development experience is strongly preferred. You can be a key part of making Microsoft gaming platforms - including Xbox One, Xbox 360 and others - a success."

More details on the requirements for the Microsoft position and the responsibilities associated with it are offered on the Microsoft site.

The company is not saying exactly when it might introduce a major upgrade for the graphical side of the Xbox One, the move might be made at the same time that Windows 10 is launched.

Rumors have said that a re-design of the OS for the Xbox One will free more resources that can be used by video games launched for it
