Forums - General - I have had enough of the heat!!!!!

Adelaide has equalled the record of 9 days straight of temperatures being over 35 degrees celcius. This record is for capital cities in Australia and the original record was for Perth in the 80's. And the extendeed forcasts says that we could go on for 6 more days of 38 degrees(100 f) plus. That means we could have 15 days of temps being over 35. I have had enough of the heat and we may need to wait until tuesday next week for a change to come through and the weather people are saying maybe 31 degrees for tuesday.

What sort of weather have you guys(and gals) been through. Hurricanes, droughts, tornadoes, floods. Maybe the sunami in SE asia?

Interesting you bring that up. Clipsal 500 this year was brought forward this year to late Febuary. First time it was to be in summer. Yet it was a balmy 23-25 degrees. Yet after summer the temp skyrockets. Lucky they did bring it forward as if they didn't it would be held right about now and the drivers would have really struggled in the heat.

Well in Melbourne it look's like we will be having 35+ temperature days for the next 5 days or so, which will be fun(not). At least the last two days have been nice and mild, low-mid 20 degree days. Summer had been quite reasonable as you mentioned Imthelengend at least in Victoria and now Autumn is setting record's left, right and centre, which is rather annoying.

Yes, Perth been terrible this Feb...we had a couple of days where the temp been over 40 degrees.

I thought i had it bad in here ... we've had like 30 degrees celsius for a week...
the funny thing is that in between the week ... we had a day where it rained like hell, with thunders and everything

I live in Canada (Maritimes) and we had a freezing rain storm this week. The only annoying part about it other than every place you walk being ice was that it froze the doors going outside. It happaned at around 9:30PM at night and I wanted to go to the cornerstore but couldn't because of that, truly frustrating when you're craving caffeine and can't go get anything . I had to wait until the morning until the doors could be opened. I can't wait for summer.

it's been nice and sunny here in Sydney, but not bad at all, and I'm so glad were heading into winter cuz I love winter.
