In RPGs where you crate your own character, I prefer the silent type. I like to imagine being the character myself and saying the lines myself rather than having some actor be my voice. I loved how the first Dragon age was just like that. I could imagine myself saying my line to a party member and then having them respond. I also saw exactly what I was about to say beforehand. In Dragon Age 2 they went with the stupid wheel system, what a shame. I could never be quite sure what was going to come out of my character's mouth, just a rough guestimate based on the "mood" I was able to choose. On top of that, it was no longer "me" as my character saying them, but rather an actor, someone else and their voice. Not the same immersion, not even close.
