I'm with you on that. It saddens me that such great companies are now making the jump to mobile. Sort of makes me think the games I loved from them will soon be gone forever... : (

I reiterate: Shut the fuck up, Konami.

Although I agree with the idea that mobile gaming getting bigger has directly and indirectly effected other video game formats, I still believe that other markets will differently still exist if there are customers.

Mobile is definitely the future of gaming.

It's one thing to say you want to go into the mobile market, but it's another to say you want to "pursue it aggressively". Also they way they describe how they want to structure their games, they want to lock content behind paywalls. That is bad news for the consumer and I can see that being really frustrating for the consumers

We should all break our piggy banks and make an offer for Metal Gear before EA buys it.

Damn, I know it sucks. But what if it becomes profitable for them? What if they are indeed correct and the future is mobile?

As much as I love video games, I could not support the mobile market. Unless they magically make it so that I can play these mobile games on my tv with an xbox one controller. Even then, it would feel like a step backwards for me.

It might not be apparent to the customers who don't live in Japan, but Health & Fitness Clubs are the future of Konami.

So Kojima didn't want Snake to be raped and bastardized with a mobile Metal Gear Solid game, which caused a rift between upper management. Therefore subsequently resulting in him leaving Konami! It makes sense now.

I think I know why Kojima is goint to left Konami... This sucks, I used to love Konami games and it's sad to see them in a downward spiral.
