Minecraft is doing quite well. Can't imagine what it would do if it was available on all platforms.

Just imagine all those 3DS/ WiiU sales. Hell, imagine if they would have made a version for the Wii! If it can run on tablets and mobiles, it can run on the Wii.

I wonder how cut back a 3DS or Wii version would have to be. I mean the Tablet ver is massively scaled back from the possibilities available on the console versions. And in turn they're scaled back from the PC version.

It is interesting that they've chosen not to do a Nintendo version, particularly 3DS. I can only presume that Sony swooped in with support for getting it runing on Vita (what with them being the game's publisher on PlayStation) while they felt the effort of getting it to work on 3DS would be too much, especially as the system lacked dual analogue at the time.

Would that be an issue with the stylus? I mean control-wise the Minecraft homebrew for the original NDS wasn't that bad.

In fact I think i would prefer the stylus to dual-analogue.

It would for me. I tried that sort of control setup on Mario 64 DS and it was just awful for me. I do have dyspraxia though.

Mario is a third-person platformer. Minecraft is a first-person game with very little need for "precise" platforming. As a player of the PC version stylus> dual-analogue for me. The stylus takes the role of the mouse in such a scenario.

That'd be cool, but it wouldn't work for me :) Hell I can't even use mouse and keyboard setup truly effectively. Dual analogue is the sweet spot.

Fair enough, I was mostly addressing the concerns that it had a role in any decision of potential development.
