Hey, I talked about it! I'm still surprised by how much I love it, hell I'm playing it as we speak! Gameplaywise there aren't any major cons for me, heck all your cons are things I actually like! The hunger mechanic and emeras create a thoughtful risk reward system, as exploring for them awesome enhancements means you'll have to worry about your food supplies. On top of PP needing elixers, careful resource management becomes important, so the player must constantly decide whether to move on or explore. While yes emeras randomly help you, let's not forget the many things that randomly hurt you, such as traps, monster houses, enemy pokemon evolving or worse, picking up an looplet with an awakening emera. It all balances out!

Nice to see someone didn't forget about the game! But yeah I see what you mean, careful resource management is key. In later dungeons I found myself saying "screw it" in regards to exploring a whole floor if I was running low on Elixirs or Apples. And thinking about it more I feel like emeras aren't that much  of a con, it just felt dirty winning a fight due to them. Something very interesting I learned about emeras however is that you can "use"  them (no not setting them in the Looplet but actually using them) to temporarily buff up a stat depending on the color of the emera. For example, green ones buff HP (though not as well as Oran Berries).

Anyways I'm not surprised you're still playing though! I barely finished the main story and want to know how many Pokémon I got? 61. Yeah I still have a ways to go.

So apparently the infamous "petting mini-game" is still in Fire Emblem: Fates but unlocked after meeting certain circumstances.

Edit: NVM the post above shared it first

OMFG!!!!!!! I dont know what to believe in anymore!!!!!!

Because GameXplain Derrick (I think that's him) had a Q&A and he said that the petting thing is gone, but he did get married to the maid. Sooooo maybe he hasn't tried doing it after getting married........

Anyway this is good news! At least Gamespot is quite trustable.......  Yeah?

I haven't heard the best things about Gamespot so I really don't know. At this rate I'm basically going to need the game in my hand and petting my waifu (or husbando) before I can be sure about this whole mess.

Lol, didn't expect this :p

Doesn't really matter to me, but it's nice to see the 'whole' game as is being localized basically

Same. I didn't care too much where this whole thing went either way. I'm just hoping this is a fine medium where fans on both sides of this debate can settle on.

Only 61? Dayum! I think I had just over 100 when I finished, and thought maybe I had done something wrong, but nope that's normal. This is pretty much the game's main issue, the story is way smaller than it could be.

And yeah that makes all emeras useful even the ones with meh effects. You finish a dungeon stronger than when you started, that's what I really like about it, always a sense of progression! When I've got Barrage + Better Odds + Type Bulldozer, I don't feel dirty, I feel like a badass! (>¯■_■)>

On the Poll "Which Version of Fire Emblem Fates Will You Get?"
I voted "Other (?)".
For those who are curious, what this means:
I plan to get all 3 paths digital.
