Meaning, you never finished the first to runs? :p

I've dropped that game twice already, so maybe I'll give it another try some time in the future

Pokémon Picross, again.

Looks like the daily practice picrite go up for every fourth region you unlock, not every fifth. Doesn't mean that the game isn't one hell of a grind though. What was supposed to be only week 5 on my schedule is week 9 already, so I've done 1/6 of the estimated 54 weeks it's supposed to take. The life bar is slowing me down because I don't want to extend it before I've maxed the daily practice bonus.

I wish Nintendo would rethink their free-to-start strategy and offer a "buy full game" option that removes all of the annoying hurdles. Like for this game specifically, I wouldn't mind if they charged ten bucks. There's enough content to justify that price. Could have been a nice crossover to make more people love Picross, a shame that it was handled this way.

Your avatar makes reading this so sad :' (

Nintendo is trying to figure out how to sell F2P games before they launch their mobile games, they are bound to make things like this. It's still a chore to unlock everything. Those prices are horrible.

I don't think these experiments are for mobile games, but rather their dedicated gaming systems. They are testing how receptive the audience is to these money-grabbing schemes because this is a generation where they have to squeeze out profit from everything they can. They also sell handhelds without chargers in the box, but that's what happens when a company is short-sighted in the planning phase of their products.

Yes, they've been tinkering around with many different models for F2P and DLC and don't seem to have settled for one yet, for better or for worse

Though I did read that if you buy a certain amount of picrites with real money, then you can get any extra picrites for free, which basically means you purchased the 'full' version of the game... but it's not cheap (I think it's about $50-60 CAD in total, where a full 3DS game costs around $50 MSRP)

I know, there's an upper limit for how much money you can spend on the game, but it's obvious that it is far from an acceptable offer.

I think Nintendo would make more money from this game if they had a "buy for $10" option, but at times companies think that making consumer-friendly offers will reduce profits. In reality some money is better than no money (like I would spend money on Pokémon Picross if it didn't necessitate grinding, but since it's got these annoying things, I won't) and it certainly doesn't hurt if consumers feel comfortable when parting with their money; it makes them more likely to spend more money overall.

Yes. $10 is too low to unlock everything, but $50+ is crazy expensive too..

The model they have would work better for mobile, as with a massive userbase, there are bound to be people that are willing to spend that much.. I think $20 is wayy more reasonable, but even then, I probably wouldn't be willing to spend that much for this game

Oh look, I found a gripe with Super Mystery dungeon. Evolving does 0 for stats. atleast in time and darkness it did something but they went back to the route of the originals. urgh. Looks like drugs all the way for my Pokemon.

Aw seriously? Well my hype for evolution has died a bit. Guess I'm going to have to just pray for Proteins, Carbos and Calciums now...

Return to PopoloCrois x Story of Seasons (Harvest Moon) will be featuring dual audio in the Western release!

I'm a pretty big fan of that so that's definitely good news for me :D

I am actually a big fan of this as it means most every Pokemon is viable, thus you can truely use whoever you want. For instance despite it's cool type combo I wouldn't be caught dead running a Surskit in the mainseries games, but here he works pretty well. Plus there are still benefits to evolving like additional typing and larger movepool. I'm fine not evolving anyone since you'll eventually connect with each Pokemon and its evolutions anyway, though this does mean I have to wait. I'm nearly finished connecting with everyone, yet Togekiss and Garchomp are still nowhere to be found. =/
