Eh, I'm on the fence about this game, which probably means I'll never get around to getting it. Also I thought you only get friend tokens playing locally.

Yeah, it is, more than I thought. By the way, if you want some tokens you will have to find somebody to play locally. I've earned some of them playing in the coliseum 1vs1. I guess you can earn them in the normal mode though. But only local play.

Eh, I'm mixed about how the Splatoon update made it so you're more likely to be paired with people with the same rank. The good of it is I finally had lobbies where all 8 players are S+ rank so that's cool, however it's not worth the much longer wait times, to the point where time expires and the lobby drops even when we only needed one more twin-squad. Additionally, we end up playing with the same squads game after game, although I guess that's not necessarily a bad thing.
