Well now that the tourney is done, who's hyped to play some Splatoon?

Maybe someone else should host? That shortcut right before the cave on Mount Wario is not easy to pull off perfectly, so you can imagine my dismay when the game d/c'ed right after I did so twice in a row! Dx

My controller wasn't working properly, that was the issue.

I had to resync, and then everything started working.

Welp be sure to test things beforehand in da future. If I was the host I woulda gotten someone else to do it due to the disconnects I was having recently.

Sure thing, hey I can only learn from my mistakes, right?

Has anyone played Puzzles and Dragons: Super Mario Bros.?

Seems interesting. Though I think $35 is kind of expensive.

You get two games for that price, because Puzzle & Dragons Z is included in the package.

There are plenty of monsters to choose from in both games, the Monsterdex is also properly organized. I'd say all of the embellishment of the core concept is well thought out, but the core itself (arranging orbs on a 6x5 grid) is the same thing over and over and over again. Once you are past the initial phase of addiction (which probably won't take long), you'll find it hard to play more than 30 minutes a day.

That's what I fear the most. I've seen a couple of videos and it does look addicting, but it could fade quickly.

Will probably buy it when it's a lower price, I still think $35 is too much even if it includes 2 games.

Me! Splatoon senpai needs to hurry. I'm getting impatient.

Lastly, I am disappoint by the amount of VGC clan tags I saw, or rather the lack thereof. Kudos to Mike for being the only other one!

I find the EXP gains in both games way too low. If you would constantly receive rewards for playing and therefore could evolve a lot of monsters, then that part of the game could offset the monotony of the puzzle gameplay. I've put over ten hours into P&D Z, but I have only evolved a handful of monsters so far. At this rate I would finish the six regions of the game with my starter dragons evolved to their third form, with not much else done. Basically, less than 10% of monsters used in battle.

Well at least there's plenty of variety in the monsters evolution and such I guess; though it sucks there has to be grinding in order to achieve that goal.

Are the games challenging? I have only seen videos from the first world in the Super Mario Edition, so of course that is nothing to go by. I would actually consider buying the games earlier if both have some real challenge to them (outside of 100%).

Well then, sorry I couldn't be there.

So, that means you actually have two reasons to be glad I didn't play.

Nah more players is always better! I don't really care that much about the clan thing and infact I'm probably going to join a real one eventually anyway.
