It did 100k its first week which is pretty good considering its just an expansion.

You think SE is pleased with the result?

Hard to tell if they're happy with the sales of the DQ X expansion. Look what happened with the sales expectation they had with Tomb Raider and Sleeping dogs.

It opened way better than the last expansion, so definitely. This is just showing that more people are warming up to upgrading. I wouldn't be surprised if Square Enix releases another one next year.

Squeenix had already said they're very satisfied with the sales of DQX, even before this expansion (which is more than the previous one). After all, the success of MMOs is reliant on how long people stay subscribed, not necessarily how many units are sold.

The sales aren't bad, but I think it would be foolish to believe the next mainline DQ will be exclusive to Wii U.

FW sales of DQX 3.0 were higher than total known retail sales of DQX 2.0, the game has seen nothing but growth on WiiU, its no DQH but its pulling some decent numbers.

Hard to say honestly, DQX has seen great digital sales on WiiU so the numbers we have don't tell the whol estory.
