9>10 in terms of main battle theme. However Challenge, Fight with Seymour, Enemy Attack and Otherworld are top notch and IMO beat 9's boss themes

The 10 boss themes were much better than 9's generally speaking XD 9 has pretty good music but they probably have some of the weaker boss themes for whatever reason, at least in my opinion.

Precisely my thoughts. 10 barely sqeuaks past 9 in terms of overall OST

The real question is how can you decide between this :

Or between this:

You simply cant, theyre both phenomenal OSTs. IM glad you like dhte game so much, I go back and forth if I prefer IX or X, but VII will always be my number one, it was both a superb game and the first FF I ever played. Guess you mustve hyped for FF XV now, its suposed to be the one that will bring the glory days back (even tough I think XIII is actualy a great game).

I've actually just started the game myself, but progress has been slow since I have a bunch of other games on the backlog. Hoping to finish those soon so I can get back to FF IX.

ReimTime? Is that you?

Final Fantasy IX and Final Fantasy VI best in the series imo and FF series became garbage after IX except for XII.

You will never find a more divided fanbase than Final Fantasy's haha. Replies in this thread are proof. User favorites include 6, 7, 9, 10, 12 etc. Rarely will you find a forum where everyone agrees on a favorite. That is either a statement to the quality of the series or to how different each title is

I think both are true.

So that people can get attached to some and be disappointed with others because it's not that way.

Well, I like'em all xD

Only Dirge of Cerberus was under the bar, but even so the graphics were great and I think if I've played 7 before it would be better as it was about Vicent and Lucrecia adding to their story.

I agree; both are true. Since the games are of similar name and roots, fans buy them because they may have enjoyed a previous iteration. However, since the games are individually different from each other, fans may not think a game matches up to their original favorite. This creates a polarized fanbase

Grats on finishing all three. I still prefer FFVIII, especially the music :). Can listen to the OST doing anything.

Now you will become one of those people who will buy other FF games and hope they are great like the PS one FF games....but you will always be dissapointed in that regard :s. It hurts.....

The way i read your reply back to me i take it as if you did not know that the Snes Final Fantasy games are really Final Fantasy IV and VI. FF II = FFIV and FFIII = FFVI. Exuse me if i am mistaken and you did know :)
