Forums - Gaming - Konami today revealed that it voluntarily delisted itself from the New York Stock exchange, effective April 24

Many foreign companies are currently desisting from New York Stock exchange, simply because the US laws after Sarbanes-Oxley are way too bureaucratic and strict and involve major risks. The costs and risks outweigh the chances and benefits by far - thats the only reason why so many companies are leaving the US stock market.

Weird. Maybe there's more to this Silent Hills business than them just being lame.

they will go fully into teh shady gambling business, and they dont wanna give as much data as they would have to provide if they stay listed in new york.

teh brits dont care about this stuff

what do you think must happen to their game franchises?

they dont have any left. sure they maybe try to milk the corpses of some franchises or sell em, but well, the franchises are gone, MGS will finish the mainline, silent hill will never be a hit again after all the shadyness involved in the cancelling of the last.

they will make some more cheap handheld games and ports of older games, and milk PES as long as it makes a profit.

They're getting out before the coming financial crash
