Very interesting thread idea :)

1) PS2 -- arguably the best home console ever made, PS2 boasts a huge library of diverse games.

2) PS1 -- with a great collection of racers, fighters, and RPGs, PS1 ranks among the very best video game systems.

3) Xbox -- Thanks to superior hardware, Xbox played host to a large number of PC ports; thanks to partnerships with studios like Bungie and BioWare, Xbox scooped up plenty of amazing console exclusives.

3) X360 -- while it sputtered in its final years, X360 nonetheless brought joy to millions with a deep library of third-party games, backward compatibility, and one of the industry's best controllers.

4) PS3 -- yes, many of its third-party games played and performed better on PC or Xbox 360, but, by investing in its first-party studios and leveraging third-party relationships, PS3 secured a number of great games that could only be played on Sony hardware.

wow. That was harder than I thought. I really struggled between PS1 and Genesis, mostly because of Sonic 3D & Knuckles and Sonic CD, but I wasn't sure if I could count the latter and the PS1 (eventhough it's ugly as shit) just has an immense amount of awesome games, so I think it deserves it.

This will be hard, I'm a Nintendo guy so:

1. PS2 --> Because it had a massive and diverse library of games. Lots of shovelware but if you knew what to find, it had tons of great games.

2. PS1 ---> FFVII/FFVIII/FFIX/Xenogears... Best JRPGs library in any console, ever (SNES is another candidate). And I love them all.

3. PS3 ---> Great library of games, but it doesn't reach its predecessors. It lacks a better first party lineup to reach them. But it's a very good console.

That's it, I can't reach 5 consoles. I don't like Microsoft consoles, I don't like Sega consoles at all... Well, just for fun:

4. Dreamcast ---> Only because of Shemmue II. It's one of my favourite games ever.

5. Sega Mega Drive ---> I spent a lot of time as a kid playing Sonic the Hedgehog. So it has that nostalgic feeling.
