Microsoft Corporation Consoles Will Receive Early Access To GTA 5 DLC In Future: Sources

Numerous sources claim that GTA V’s first single-player DLC is expected to arrive on Xbox One and 360.

In the past as well, Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) has always been on the look out to acquire DLC rights before competitors. Xbox One and Xbox 360 gained early access to any Call of Duty-related content. Moreover, the company’s marketing lead has announced that Star Wars Battlefront will be hitting the consoles first too.

After the release of GTA V on PC, it is widely believed that the next task on the developer’s list would be to come up with a first single player DLC for its record-selling game. With Microsoft lagging behind PS4 and PC in visual aspects, the company intends to make up for it via an early DLC release.

Ever since the repositioning of Xbox One, Microsoft’s biggest aim has been to provide fans with the best gaming experience possible. In this regard, the company has done a decent job with exclusive titles and early DLC offerings, as well as memberships like EA Access for the players.

Although there are rumors that the DLC might feature a new city or environment, GTA V’s first single-player DLC is expected to build on the story of the three existing characters.

Xbox One users have a lot of good news coming their way over the next few months, most of which is exclusive to the console. Even Square Enix’s upcoming “Rise of the Tomb Raider” will exclusively launch on Xbox One first. All of this is a result of the company’s commendable ties with various leading developers.

An announcement regarding the DLC looks likely at the E3 2015 and Microsoft fans can expect special treatment from Rockstar. Without a doubt, the DLC will receive record downloads and a very warm reception.

Interesting considering GTAV appeared on Sony's stage at e3 and they had that special bundle or whatever. Could still happen though.

That'd take a very large cash truck, methinks. Not like MS doesn't have it, but I doubt gaming gets any significant share of MS' bank account.

Hahahaha! Yeah right

Other than pleasing the xbox one owners first, I don't see the benefits of it in terms of hardware and software. The game has been sold already, it's not like GTA 4 where they announced in advance DLC first for xbox 360. That really helped sell more game for the system as well as the system itself.

It probably won't happen, but I wouldn't be surprised if MS tried to get timed DLC rights.

Doubt it, what advantage would Microsoft gain for paying to have this ? Wont sell units or make it the preferred system to play on ,8 million more gta V on Sony consoles and increasing.

i doubt this very much

PSN & XBOX GT : cutzman25

dat 500mil?

IF true MS must've payed a pretty penny, given the disparity between the two console this time around

lol, it's a baseless rumour and nothing more.

First I'm hearing about these rumours. Sounds like wishing thinking.

How does it look likely?
