Forums - Gaming - So with Bloodborne being a commercial and critical success, Sony and From must be in talks for the next project, what should it be?

Next Bloodborne will be exclusive to PS4.

Next Souls game will be PS4/PC only.

They need to fix that silly coop, game is fun but if you get it for coop with your friends you come out disappointed. Feels so damn lonley playing games with no coop nowadays.
Yeah, I know you can play with randys but I want to play with Friends.

you can find a unique place on Skype and make characters of similar levels.  That's what I did with Demon's Souls

i am not sure, SonyJapan probbably gave a lot of help there too. It sure would lack the same quality like bloodborne unless a third party is really paying them enough money or giving manpower

Riiiiight. The same way Dark Souls lacked the same quality of Demon's Souls. Sony helped because they wanted the exclusive, not because From couldn't make a better game without them.

Has nothing to do with quality.  The circumstances of Demon Souls distribution worldwide, are what ended up causing From to go multiplat.  The circumstances are quite different now.  This doesn't mean From Software won't release another multi-plat title, but it won't be in the Bloodborne franchise.

Not true...Sony Japan's help was a big deal...If all they wanted was exclusivity they could have just contracted From Software to make Bloodborne (Sony Owned) the same way they contract Insomniac to make Ratchet & Clank (also Sony Owned)

I think a Dark Souls 3 is inevitable as a multiplat release. Whether Miyazaki is going to be involved with it is another question. I think he earned the right to do whatever he wants though.

I'm pretty sure that there will be a multiplatform Dark Souls 3 and Miyazaki will likely co-dev another title with Sony. They had significant benefits from Sony this time in terms of financial support and advertising. I don't recall ever seeing a TV ad for DeS, DS1, or DS2 but I seen lots of BB.

Considering that I enjoyed Dark Souls 2 a lot, I'd like to see a new IP from the B team of From Software.

Dark Souls isn't in the Demon's Souls franchise, so I don't see what difference that makes.

I'm calling it. Santa Monica studios will help From Soft to make the best looking Souls game ever and then, in return they will both collaborate on a new God of War. A man can dream, a God of War title with the level design and depth of a Souls game :)
