Forget 12K, will it run on this 8K tv?

*pic*

That's another 33% pixels on top of 3 4K monitors.
Are there GPU's that can output 7680x4320?

GPU? There isn't a display interface capable of dislpaying that res yet, let alone GPUs.

HDMI 2.0 caps at 2160@60Hz but can output 8K at 4:2:0 Chroma and 24p. Not ideal for gaming.

Meanwhile, DisplayPort 1.2a also goes up to 4K@60Hz but the latest DP 1.3 version does 5K@60Hz and can go up to 8K in either 60Hz (4:2:0) or 30Hz (4:4:4).

Please excuse my bad English.

I was playing Quake 2 back in 2003 at 3840x2400, on an IBM T221 , had to use two dvi cables and custom linux software to do it, 24hz too!

Really though, announcing pc resolutions like that seems a bit pointless to me.

Also.

As for why Project Cars is not coming to Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, Slightly Mad said those platforms' technical specifications aren't good enough to deliver an uncompromised version of the game.

This does not bode well for the WiiU

While I agree the game will probably not see release on Wii U, the PS3/360 versions were cancelled years ago, after which they continued to update us on the Wii U version, so whichever decision led to the PS3/360 being scrapped didn't torpedo the Wii U one, at least not at the time.

Well I'll go buy my 8 Titan 4 i7 gaming rig to run it in ultra 120fps 3x4k displacement.

the issue is mainly that they were deemed so underpowered they cancelled them early on, the WiiU is indeed more powerful, but not by a substantial enough degree where I would be willing to put any money down in a bet about it releasing.

I can't really see an outcome where they would be more encouraged to push to release the wiiu version either, if the pc/ps4/xbo version sells badly, no real reason, if it sells well, they wouldnt really need the wiiu sales either.

My money would be on them quietly brushing it under the rug in a few months time.

I bet Xb one framerate is solid at 60fps but PS4 framerate dips from time to time as a compromise to his 1080p.

This seems like a likely scenario.  that assumes that the PS4 is barely at 60fps though...

Or, MS will stop by and help them fix it and their will be a patch to bring the XB1 up to 1080.

It is near the end of the end....

Yeah you're probably right I reckon; they already delayed it indefinitely, and have yet to show any actual screens or footage. At this point I would be surprised if it sees the light of day.

Nah. The PS4 will beat the XB1 in both resolution and  performances as usual.

As usual? several recent games that have been 900p vs 1080p have had more stable fps on Xb one than PS4. It seems to me that PS4 is capable of playing pretty much any multiplat game at 1080p, but framerate will suffer when things get busy on screen, but not in a game-breaking way. Xb one isn't so capable of 1080p with acceptable fps, so it gets the 900 treatment, which happens to stablilise the fps more solidly.
