Well, XCX is being advertised/pushed. So are many RPGs. It's not a mainstream genre and understandably so.

I hope they bundle it outside Japan. The mainstream part is true but not true. FF7 sold over 10mill and WRPG sell well. I think there is a little blindness here in the whole market. Make a good game and push it and it can sell. What would happen if Nintendo made this a mainstay of there system like Mario and later kept it packaged with all future system sales. (After it sells alot of course) I think you could build up a series ofgRPG to where it could sell millions easily. But it would take alot of work and a tempory sacrifice.

Will it be done not likely but i seriously think there is alot of potential here unseen.

Actually at times i got quite upset with sony about their treatment of RPG and even Microsoft i think dropped the ball last generation with lost oddyssey.

Everyone sees the the short term not the long term when it comes to RPG.

This can be extended to every first party game.

So... weird to pinpoint it on this game alone.

Just go buy a Wii U.

Planning on it. Everytime i see Xenoblade Chronicles X tho I kept on thinking it needs to sell millions more then it'll probaly reach.

Actually most games don't make me consider this nintendo or otherwise. But RPG are the whole reason i play games (most of it Adventure games and platformers are also enjoyed).

.. Wasn't there a thread recently suggesting that exclusives like Bloodborbe should be experienced by as many people as possible (on other platforms)? The posts here make it clear that no exclusive should go multiplat. Like ever.

Xenoblade Chronicles X is a first party game, not a 3rd party exclusive.  Not at all the same thing as this.

So 3rd party exclusives are fair game?

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

Fact : WiiU is cheaper than a gaming PC.

Given that Xenoblade was rereleased on 3DS, XCX will probably re- release on another Nintendo system in the future.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Bloodborne is first party as well though...

I think his argument is that Nintendo owns Monolith and thus the Xenoblade IP which is a good point. That said I consider Bloodborne to be like Bayonetta and to an extent Street Fighter V. They are all "3rd party exclusives" that were funded by console manufacturers and arguably "would not exist" without the funding.

Wasn't Bloodborne co-developed by Sony Japan Studio though? More than just funding in that case...

Yes it was. The thing is any kind of exclusive is very important to console manufactures. They should never become multiplat because 1. It hurts the consoles and 2. without exclusives console wars wouldnt exist. Without exclusive certain consoles would be completely redundant. I just brought this up because the "Bloodborne to a wider audience" thread got a comletely different reaction. Some posters entertained the idea of everyone should experience game X even though we all know it'll never work that way.

If everyone wants to experience it than buy a PS4. No one is entitled to play any game and I see that attitude so much lately from entitled gamers.

Bloodborne isn't a first party to my knowledge, but my point was more to this point: "The posts here make it clear that no exclusive should go multiplat. Like ever."
