Forums - Gaming - Playstation Plus Game TOWER OF GUNS is Poorly Optimized

GPGPU. The whole reason PS4 (as well as all 8th gen consoles) has a weaker CPU than the PS3 is because in modern gaming the GPU takes on many of the processing tasks that last ran on the CPU in last gen consoles. But maybe you're right, maybe the PS4 just isn't powerful enough to fun this at a solid framerate:

Eh, no the reason the CPU is weaker is because it is an APU that was designed to have a strong GPU and an ok CPU...... As I said quit pretending you have any idea what you are talking about. GRAPHICS DOES NOT EQUAL REQUIREMENTS if you can not understand that then I do not know what to tell you. There are way more factors involved than just that.

Again, not saying that is what is going on here. But its a possibility that the game allowed to many assets to load at once which maxed out the CPU or Ram. More than likely its a glitch of some sort than bad optimization.

Oh please, that footage could only bottleneck the system if the programmers were inept. The amount of elements in play is nothing other PS4 games have not handled with solid performance. There's no complex physics, the assets are simplistic and repeated.

Yep, because memory leaks never happen right?

Good programmers iron out these kind of performance kinks before they release their game.

So From Software is not "good programmers"? Bloodborne has a memory leak issue. As did some Bethesda games. Two of the best devs arent good programmers. Glad to know.

I am not pretending to know why the game behaved that way, but you immediately blaming the devs is wrong. You have NO CLUE what is going on in that scenario

I personally wouldn't call those two good developers, no.

My friend download it, looks like borderlands in the art style, the gameplay like Paranautical activity. I did notice drops, one massive drop with a los of enemies.

Well, it is a PC game and gaming PCs usually do not have a CPU problem like the consoles do and since this is definitely a CPU heavy game this could've been expected.
I guess the devs don't know or care enough about GPGPU.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Shame, hopefully it'll be patched it's an excellent game on PC.

That game is actually good. But I had frame-rate problems with it on my PC too. And for a game with those graphics...
