With the final title in the series being pushed to 2016, releasing a remastered compilation makes sense. The PS4 is selling to a lot of people who didn't play on PS3 last gen, so it would allow everyone to enjoy the complete trilogy before the final game comes out.
Personally... I'd replay Uncharted 2 again and again, again, if it comes out in glorious 1080p 60fps. That game is such a great ride start to finish. I never got tired of it on PS3.
