Forums - Gaming - Splatoon - 60fps Testing

A couple of days ago, it was relayed over the Internet that Splatoon was getting the official 60fps treatment under DigitalFoundry. It looks as if the campaign runs consistently, whereas the mulitplayer drops at to at least one or two frames.

Below is a video consisting of the, well, 60fps consistency of both single and mulitplayer:

Shouldn't be super surprising, but hey, more Splatoon footage!

Not surprising at all, but good to hear

Gotta love Nintendo's consistant 60 fps

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

That´s an impressive solid framerate!

Brilliant optimization.

Some hardcore trolling going on in that comment section. Gamers can be such idiots complaining about resolution and AA while they can't even tell the difference without someone telling them.

59 fps!? Pre-order cancelled.

Amazing performance as always. Maybe it's me, but I find it praiseworthy, because of the chaotic nature of the game and Nintendo's inexperience in these shooter games.

They sacrificed visuals for a near-solid framerate. I have absolutely no issue with this.

Good to see developers sacrifice visuals for performance in games like this.
