Forums - Nintendo - Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem (Gamexplain trailer analysis)

^You sound like if this analysis was a disaster just for some facts that he miss. How about everything that he don´t miss? He cares more about the Fire Emblem side... as most of Nintendo fans seeing the analysis.

I do agree that they need a SMT fan to do another analysis.

Wow so much! I think I have a good idea what this game will be like now. I'm VERY excited.

If you're doing an analysis of a trailer, yet you only analyze half the content while getting content wrong because of your ignorance to half of what you're supposed to be analyzing, I think it's pretty fair to call that a failure. It doesn't matter what he cares more about. He's not doing an analysis on a vanilla FE game; he's doing one on a crossover of two franchises. The producer even implied that the first trailer was mostly SMT elements. It's not just "some facts." If I, an SMT novice, can point out those things he legitimately got wrong, there's no way a veteran hasn't notice a plethera more. He comes off looking ignorant, and should have done his research if he was going to analyze a game he was only half interested in.

Hmmmm.  So you think that taking the SMT bits from the IGN analysis and the FE bits from this one would equal the better, fuller picture?

Not only that, but I'm sure there are SMT bits that IGN missed. IGN's video wasn't meant to be a researched analysis, just a reactionary "here's a few things we noticed," so I think they get more slack. IGN released there video within hours. This took four days. You'd expect better research than this.

Wow! I missed so much stuff in the original trailer, GameXplain really goes in depth with this stuff.

Im sooo excited for this game, and who can complain about a little fanservice ;)

This was needed. Many people said that it doesn't look like a FE game but this analysis actually shows that it is more influenced by it than you'd think. It didn't say much about the SMT side, but this atleast can calm down the angry mob with pitchforks screaming for more FE.
