This month has been very weird for the PS4 on Amazon. It's still ahead by quite a bit on the monthly rankings, but I think we need to look at the bestsellers lists from other retailers.

Ps fans are okay when 3ds win the NPD, now when the winner is xb1, you can smell the fear

Tecnically your right, but of course a PS fan hope PS4 above ALL other hardware... but for sure prefer 3DS to won.

(As the XBOX fan... they hope in the XBO victory, but if 3DS won are more happy than if won PS4)

I am sure that ps fans dont see 3ds as a direct competition to ps4 but to ps vita and 3ds already won the handheld war.  So even if 3ds win, isnt a big deal.
