Forums - Microsoft - IS the Europe price cut bigger than first thought? Starts today?

I think that this is the point where things get interesting.

I can really see Microsoft winning Worlwide for at least a few weeks to come, at best, until Sony drops the price again... But who knows when that'll be.

Looks like I'll lose my ban bet.

Yes and Arcade is £30 cheaper but the Premium is much better value

Well, that's a big cut, but here in Europe, except UK, who cares about xbox360 anymore ?

The systems to buy are PS3 and Wii here... Blue Ray player and Party Console, that's it.

Wow, wtf? Did Amazon drop prices twice recently, or was the PS3 really more expensive than the Elite all this time in UK?

Just for completeness, let me point out that the prices you quoted are £10 below RRP according to Amazon, although it doesn't make much difference.

The Premium 360 costs about the same as the Wii now, and the Elite is £50 cheaper than the PS3!

There's something strange going on here with the exchange rates. According to Amazon, the Premium's RRP is 200 £ (which is ~260 € at today's rate), however that article has it at 299 €. That's a pretty big difference, and may make it worth it for people in the Eurozone to import from the UK.
