We’re happy to announce that Neverwinter is now live on Xbox One in 33 regions across North America, Europe and South America. After releasing in China last year, our team has been hard at work building upon our initial launch to bring one of the first MMORPGs to the Xbox One for free. To download the game for free, visit our Xbox product page. We are also happy to announce that within the first three days of launch, all Xbox One owners will be able to play the game for free. On Thursday, April 2, an Xbox Live Gold Membership will be required to play Neverwinter.

With this launch, adventurers can jump into the living world of the Forgotten Realms as they explore strange environments like Icespire Peak and Pirate’s Skyhold as you experience classic Dungeons & Dragons creatures. In the free download, adventures will also be able to access the classes available through the Tyranny of Dragons expansion including the Scourge Warlock and access all in-game content. Following our launch, our team will continue to work to ensure the game lives up to your expectations and ours. We’ll be bringing additional content including our previous module launches that will be available to players completely for free on the Xbox One. As always, let us know what you think of the game. We’ll be watching Twitch, Twitter, forums and many more places for feedback from the community. Happy adventuring!

Wii U needs something meidival style like this. This makes the xbox one a more attractive prospective buy for me. The witcher, dragon age and game of thrones as well, but those are on many platforms. This is an interesting xbox hit.

Didn't bioware used to make original never winter nights games?

Looks interesting, may download.

Yea, those were actually very good.

I tried this Neverwinter on PC already, hated it.

Something for nothing is always good to me. This is just one of the early examples of the easy to port windows games coming to XB1.

It is near the end of the end....

Do you trhink there is a chance of getting turn based strategy games, even the older version of civilization on xbox? If so, I'd pick up an xbox. And yes, playing with a game pad is fine, as can be seen as far back as the ps1 era. There are so many great PC games that I'd love to easily play on a console just for fun.

Played it for a little bit last night. It was too much information to take in at one time trying to figure out how to play and menus. Character creation and differt classes also tested my patience. I just wanted to kill some bitches, not do dungeon master shit... Maybe one day I'll sit down and have more patience to really sink into the game. It's a pretty cool game nonetheless. Larping people will definitely like this.
