If Nintendo went 3rd party (hopefully not :P) I'd probably switch to PlayStation. I've been wanting to get a PlayStation for a while so not really surprising... best of both worlds.

Hmm. I would have to buy the console with Mario Kart, that's probably the only single game that makes me buy a console on its own. Apart from that, no franchise would sway me, I go for the overall better option. And right now I'm starting to be more and more convinced to ditch consoles for a gaming PC. At this point I'm thinking PC + Wii U (after a price cut) and PS4 in a couple years, once my PS+ library grows big and games finally get reasonable prices. At this point the price of PS4 games is just crazy and is the main reason why I'm not upgrading.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

I made this simple request to Microsoft at the start of the gen. If they make Mirror's Edge or Final Fantasy X1 exclusive I will buy one.If they can't even do that, they don't deserve my money.

Though I wouldn't switch allegiance, I would simply have both and would still hate X1 for making me buy it^^
