It def won't be NX. Ninten won't do that. They won't screw Ninten and Wii U fans like that. It's def being Wii U, and unless it's delayed to 2017, I don't really see it being cross gen. Zelda will be out around mid next year. No worries ; )

Nintendo would never delay their staple console Zelda game for its currently failing system so that it can also release it on their next, more hopeful one.

Well, I didn't rule out that it can't be cross-gen, but I just don't really see it happening ; )

It's not nonsense just because someone can deliberately misinterpret it. You just agreed with me that one of the real reasons is because Zelda will be a late-2016 release. The only way to detail that would be to establish a more specific release window, which they don't want to do. The PR is not false, it's just leaving out information -- obvious information to anyone with a basic grasp of the situation.

It's absolutely PR nonsense. XCX was shown at every E3 since it was first announced. There's no reason they couldn't show Zelda gameplay this E3 and simply say that it'll be out in 2016. They don't have to specify anything. The PR is nonsense - They aren't leaving Zelda out because they "want to focus on 2015." They're leaving out Zelda because of something they can't talk about, and it's the job of PR to make sure the message is never nagative. There's nothing to misinterpret. PR is saying one thing when the opposite is true.

Only someone who can't comprehend PR are puppets payed to make a company look good, reguardless of the truth, would think that this E3 is truly "focusing on 2015 games" and that that's even a minor reason why Zelda won't be there this year.

I bet Miyamoto's punishing Aonuma for delaying the game by not letting it appear at E3 or something. Bet that guy's real crazy in real life. Upending tea tables 'n' shit.

Oh, that's right. You think NX is a home console launching next year and Zelda was delayed so it could be a launch title.

Never once did I say that. I said I wouldn't be suprised if it appeared on the NX. Definitely sure the NX will come out next year to kill off the Wii U, though.

One day we'll find something that we 100% agree on. And when that day comes, that's all we'll ever talk about again.

Hm, I could have sworn you were the one who made that thread. It's hard to keep track of the dozens of threads that have been made in the past day.

Me, I think NX is a handheld. It's well established that New 3DS is DSi. That means 2014 is 2009. 3DS was revealed at E3 2010, launched first half 2011. The system has three Zelda games. It's on its way out the door.

They better have some unannounced games to show or their E3 will end up being a borefest. I'll worry about 2016 later, all I ask for is some decent games to replace Zelda in 2015.

You'll get Animal Crossing U and you'll like it :P

Nah, I replied to it.

I think it's both a handheld and a console. Not like two in one. Like NX is the line, and one or both of them is coming out next year.

I'll take it, but I need more, Battalion Wars with more of an RTS approach and less shooting on my own would be nice too.

I'm confused about NX. Is this the rumored hybrid platform coming from Nintendo? A new console perhaps? Or another handheld (which I doubt because of the N3DS) possibly even just a service? If someone can clarify it would be appreciated!

It's not that a single 2016 game won't appear, it's just that 2016 will NOT be the focus.
There's no point in arguing semantics on what "highlight" means. The point is that if they had a balanced show between 2015 and 2016 games, the statement would make that clear. But when 2016 doesn't even have something as small as a reference, you can bet the focus of this E3 is 2015.

And that's a big issue.

"This is the one you’ve been waiting for."

This is what Nintendo wrote on their twitter page when they announced their E3 plans last year.
It was directed towards all those who complained about the lack of Wii U games and broken "no droughts" promises.

What did we get?
Mario Maker; Splatoon; Yoshi WW; Kirby RC; Project Guard; Project Robot; Zelda U; Devil's Third, Smash, Hyrule Warriors, etc.

Of all that was revealed during E3, at least 8 games were coming out the coming year, with six being unannounced. Six.
Not one or two. Six.

So, when they say they are highlighting 2015 games, you should worry about what's coming in 2016 and with good reason.
