Sony seems to have become just a tad forgetful in the matter of trademarks. Just a few weeks ago they lost “The Last Guardian“ due to forgetting to request an extension of the deadline for the filing of a statement of use.
The same just happened yesterday with Bloodborne and a few other trademarks previously held by the house of PlayStation in the United States. here’s a list.
Oh no another company is going to steal the trademark!

they get up to a year to renew/reapply before another company or entity can legally claim it, i dont really see this as being any different than purposely paying a bill late.
