The Zelda franchise is usually considered one of the strongest in gaming. But time afects everything, and videogames are notexception. Taking into account everything, from story, to graphics, overworld, gameplay mechanics... Which Zelda will keep bein as good tomorrow as it was the day of its release? Which one will show its age sooner?
My top 3 on both categories are:
Best aged Zelda
-3. The original. Nothing like the original to start a list. Its graphics and NES dificulty will confuse or frustrate younger gamers, but there's no doubt it plays just as well today as it did in the NES era.
-2. The 64 twins (OoT and MM). This games are considered the best in the series. They are so good that the only thing Nintendo touched in the re-releases were little things (graphics, making some dungeons easier...).
-1. WindWaker. The people who critisized its cartoony graphics didn't take into account its effectiveness through time. This game plays just as well no as it did in the past. Sometimes I can't distinguish the original GC one with the WiiU one.
Worst aged Zelda.
-3. Twiglight Princess. In my opinion, Zelda games shouldn't try realism. The fact this game is trying to be as realistic as possible after the WW backlash will make this one the perfect subject of remaster/remake in the future.
-2. Zelda 2. The adventure of Link. The fact that this one is way different than any other Zelda game will make this one the most skipped in the seres.
-1. Skyward Sword. Its overreliance on motion controlls will make this one very dificult to re-release without altering its main gameplay mechanic. I like the graphics and the story, but those controlls just kill any faithful re-release.
