Dammit BraLoD! I've just got the Ragnarok and was hoping to beat you to the end

Only got Ragnarok? Loads to do yet then. You cannot complete FF games just by getting the airship. :P

Hmm, pie.

7 and 8 were around the same length to me surprisingly (as 8 has 4 cds and 7 only 3, and 7 actually took a little more time).

So I have another 50ish JRPG waiting for me? xD

Pretty much, although it's worth it ;)

But I suggest you take a break and play something else for a bit. I'm afraid that you'll play FFIX and get burnt out. That's happened to me plenty of times with other RPGs and I think you're experience with FFIX should deserve better.

If you do everything there is to do on 9 its longer than 7 and 8, the game is packed with sidequests and you can get lost playing the card game minigame if you enjoy it, but in terms of main story its about as long as 7 and 8, Id say its even a little bit shorter.

Not just the card game either, you can spend plenty of time with the Chocobo mini game as well. I really loved what they did with Chocobos in 9.

Ye its the best chocobo minigame thinguy out of every FF. Its less time consuming than getting a golden chocobo on FF VII tough, 7s chocobo breeding takes forever, not to mention the chocobo you get from the breeding is random, even if you do all the right things you can still not get the golden chocobo in the end, so you need to keep resetting your game...

Really? Wow Chocbo breeding on 7 sounds like a real pain!

Its very grindy. Have you played any FF VII at all ? If you have do you know Chocobo races in Gold Saucer ?

Yeah, I've played it. Got stuck on the 1st disc though so haven't really done any of the late game stuff like Chocobos.

Well in short you need to breed a blue and a green chocobo (wich takes crossing specific types of yellow chocobos), race them till theyre S rank on Gold Saucer, cross them using specific greens and reset till you get a red chocobo, wich you need to get to S rank and cross with an specific kind of yellow chocobo (that needs to be S rank) using another type of greens and reset till you get a black chocobo (wich btw needs to be of the correct gender) than you get the black chocobo to rank S and cross it with your red or blue chocobo I dont realy remember using another type of greens and reset till the games decide its gona give you a golden chocobo. With your golden chocobo you cna get to the 1 place no airship and whatnot can land and get the summon materia Knights of the Round.

And Im not sure I got all the steps in there, I think there was a white chocobo somewhere.

Wut?

That's way too complicated!

Yup. Squenix have done Chocobo breeding in other FFs, they never did anything even remotly as complicated as this again tough, they learned theyre lesson hehe.

What used to baffle me is how anyone was meant to know how to do that? Pot luck I'm guessing. I did it years ago from a guide book just to get Knights of the Round but never done it since. Just too time consuming.

Hmm, pie.

I remember that I was 16 years old when I bought this game and I thought it was amazing, played 170 hours of it, finished like 3 times.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Nice that you finished it. Great game.
