Internet TV services by Apple and Sony may be coming later and soon, respectively, but Sling TV is here today, and it's growing fast.

As promised at launch the service is now available on the Xbox One, marking the first game console with a Sling TV app and the third big-screen platform, after Amazon Fire TV and Roku. Sling TV is also available on iOS and Android devices, as well as Mac and Windows computers.

Sling also once again expanded the selection of channels in its "Best of Live TV" core package, which costs $20 per month. History, H2 and Lifetime are now included in the price. They'll be live by the end of March along with A&E, just in time for the premiere of Mad Men April 5.

The base package now stands at 19 total channels, although Sling is likely to use the magic number 20 because it counts Cartoon Network and Adult Swim separately even though they air at different times on the same channel.

To coincide with the first games of the NCAA Tournament, known as March Madness, Sling also added TruTV to its $5/month Lifestyle extra pack. The channel will carry numerous games, starting today. TNT and TBS, which are available in Sling's base package, will also air a wide selection of games starting Thursday, March 19.

Sling is also rejiggering two of its $5/month add-on packs, renaming them and shuffling the channel lineups.

Since I have Hulu, this could make me consider ditching DirecTV. All I really need is AMC, USA, HLN, and Discovery. It could mean $105 a month that I don't have to spend.

MS wont let sony have anything to it, Sony anounces ps vue now ms anounces sling.

Stop trying to have rational business discussion on a website where people only care about console wars, hype and blowing everything out of proportion.

Is MS responding to apple or to Sony? How about foto mode? Who where they responding to? How about games with gold? How about no DRM? How about the paywalls for online fetures like netflix?

True that most people see everything as console war, but sometimes like this time, that is what is about. they would not anounce this had sony not be about to releas their version.

Yea I heard it that time to, I did sounded extremly like a console warior. Lets avoid going there.

Microsoft dis what it normally does.  It adds features to its system by 3rd party companies.  If they deem that they want a piece of the pie, they commit to it later and most likely too late to get market domination.  

THe truth is, Sling TV is better than the Apple or Sony version.   It doesn't require you to own any particular hardware, and can be used already.  

Can i get sling TV to work outside of the US like I do with Hulu+ using a VPN service???
