If you said Nintendo EAD Kyoto then maybe I could agree but Nintendo as a whole just doesnt make any sense. We are talking the most specialized dev team here, the entirety of Nintendo makes Platformers, Arcade Racers, Action Adventure, RPG, Strategy etc etc. Far from specialized regardless of how people think of them.

Anyway Im going to go with Polyphony Digital, only 2 non GT games out of 17 total games

I'm not asking, "Who makes the best of one genre without making games in other genres?" I'm only asking "Who's specialized in their genre more than other developers are specialized in their genres?" I can be specialized at cooking lasagna but still choose to cook meatloaf occasionally.

Regardless, changing Nintendo to Nintendo EAD Kyoto doesn't really affect the question all that much, so if people want to think of it that way then that's fine by me.

From software. They are a one trick pony, but they are damn good at what they make.
U can add rockstar to the list

They used to be a multiple trick pony until Sony snagged them with money, now they only do one trick as opposed to 2-3, one of those tricks used to be an all time fave of mine, I'll be extremely lucky if they ever decide to do that trick again, providing it isn't snagged to be PS4 exclusive =/.

OT: Going to go with Nintendo since they provide the most polish and games that aren't gun ho on graphics that will without a doubt not age well.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Did you just call Uncharted 1,2,3,4 and The Last of Us Platformers? They've completely changed what the made from Platformers to Action Adventure so I don't think you should call them Platformer genre developers.

Uncharted is a platformer. TLOU isn't. I forgot about that one.

Uncharted is a third person shooter.

But since that's not what you want to read, here: You are right. What you say goes, and all that jazz.

There are many developers in the industry who are known for producing master class games in one specific genre. The question is, who exactly is the most specialized out of this group? Below I've listed several examples, but feel free to list your own!

Nintendo - Platformers

"Developer"? I think you mean "publisher."

Rare - Avatar clothes
Turn 10 - Forza

Nintendo certainly isn't a specialized developer. They make action-adventure games, platformers, shooters, RPGs, brawlers, Racing games, etc...

I know you love them, and wish to include them because, you know, there's never enough praise for them since they created the universe. But they're still no specialists.

In any case, from that list, I'd say From Software.

I don't think you understand what I'm asking. Thanks for the passive aggressive comment though.
