Before Fromsoftware made Souls games they actually devoloped a lot of different games and some of them are Otogi 1 and 2 released exclusivley on the original Xbox. Just like with Bloodborne the graphics are really impressive and maxed everything out from the hardware. A lot of destructible environments and particle effects in real time like i have never seen before at that time.

The game is a hack slash game but it isnt easy either. Yeah just want to point out a forgoten Fromsoftware Franchise that people should remember too. I dont know why they released both of these games on Xbox maybe there was an exclsuives deal or they wanted to make one of the best looking games on the strongest console. I think i will order this and play it until Bloodborne comes out. 

Probably due to the agreements M$ had with SEGA at the time since they're the ones who published the games. SEGA published several exclusives for the OG Xbox such as Jet Set Radio Future, Panzer Dragoon Orta, SEGA GT, and ToeJam & Earl 3.

The OG Xbox had alot of underrated exclusives that flew under the radar during its lifespan.

Otogi was one of my favorite hack 'n slash titles. Ah... the good days. Any who, SEGA and MS had a good deal between the two, so I suppose that's why Otgoi was Xbox Only.

japanese niche games normally dont do very good on the Xbox, so i dont know if it would be a good idea to fund it or not, regardless of that if Microsoft really wants to earn some good sales on Japan they are gonna need a lot of japanese games to do that, funding a new Otogi game would be a step in that direction but they would need a lot more than that.

but they certainly put alot of afford into maxing out the Xbox, a lot of segas exclusives could have run on the PS2 as well like shenmue 2. 

I'm not sure a niche Japanese title would work well on Xbox. If anything multiplatform would be the way to go but an exclusive i'm not so sure about.

well it was competing against a PS2 which had its own.... Kingdom Hearts, FFX, GTA, Metal Gear, etc etc etc. With the current library parody one killer exclusive carries more weight.
